DEEP REFLECTION OVER YOUR OWN LIFE

Good morning precious one. Hope you are doing well? Let us have a little walk with what the Lord has for us today. The Lord is Calling For Deep Reflection Over Your Own Life - Lamentations 3:40; 2 Corinthians 13:5

Reflection over issues is very important and needful in all spheres of life. Without deep reflection, the tendency of making mistakes is very high. Military men and women often RETREAT. The purpose is for deep reflection.

Today, the Lord is requesting you and I to have a very deep reflection on our lives. Our way of life, how is it? Are we walking in the FAITH, in OBEDIENCE, in HOLINESS, in CONSTANT RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD, in PRAYEFUL LIFE etc?

How is your Prayer Life like? How is your Daily Walk with the Lord like? How is your Personal Devotional Lifestyle like? How is your Holy Life like? How is your Faithfulness like? How is your Intimacy with the Lord like? I am also asking myself same questions.

Paul said in 2 Corinthians 13:5 that we should examine ourselves.  Today the Lord is telling you and I to really do self-examination on our Christian life. He is asking us to have a very deep reflection over our way of life.

Lamentations 3:40 makes it clearer. "Let us examine and test our ways, and let us RETURN to the Lord. Today, have a deep reflection over your life and if you are not walking in the ways of the Lord, agree with the writer of Lamentations and RETURN to the Lord. If you are walking in the ways of the Lord too, continue in it fervently.

Today is a day for us to deeply reflect on our way of life, our task that has been giving to us, our marriage and how it is faring, our business and how it is faring and even our own health.

Deep Reflection, Serious Self Examination, Comprehensive Self Test over your life and Christian Journey.

IT IS TOO LATE FOR THE DEVIL PART I

JOHN 19:21-22

21. "Then the leading priests objected and said to Pilate, “Change it from ‘The King of the Jews’ to ‘He said, I am King of the Jews.’” 22. Pilate replied, “No, what I have written, I have written."

It was too late for the leading priests to have changed the inscription. It was TOO LATE to change it. The devil, your enemy will always be too late.

It was TOO LATE for the devil to have killed you prematurely.

It is TOO LATE for the devil to change the verdict in your favour.

It will be TOO LATE for the devil to cause you any harm from now till December 31, 2019.

He will ALWAYS be TOO LATE to do anything against you.

Whatever God wants to do in your life, He will finish with it, do it and establish it in your life before the devil realizes it. He will come complaining but will be too late.

He will ALWAYS be TOO LATE. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

YOUR AUTHORITY AND POWER, WATCH IT

Luke 4:3 and 9

The devil in these references asked Jesus to utilize His authority, power to do certain things. In verse 3, he asked Jesus to use His authority as the true Son of God to command the stones to become bread. To a larger extent, Jesus is the true Son of God and He has the authority and power to command the stones to turn into bread.

In verse 9 too, Jesus is the true Son of God and can throw Himself from that pinnacle to the ground. Jesus is God and nothing can happen to Him. Even if angels will not assist Him as quoted by the devil from Psalm 91, He is God and nothing will happen to Him. He has the power and authority to exercise it.

However, what was the attitude of Jesus Christ from the passage? HE DID NOT. Beloved, let us be careful of WHEN and WHERE we exercise our authority and power.

In the house you have that power and authority as the husband, father, Pastor to exercise it but in doing so can or may ruin your marriage, destroy your image and reputation. You are the mother, wife and the bread winner and you have that authority and power but in an attempt to prove it, you may lose your integrity.

You are the Reverend Minister, you carry authority and power, manager in that office, police or military officer on the road controlling traffic, parliamentarian, nurse, doctor, lawyer, judge, chief, family head, headmaster or headmistress, teacher, landlord or landlady, etc or you carry a high position, know how you prove it. Jesus had it but wasn’t in the position to prove it.

The right time will come, wait for the proper time and exercise it.

May God help and open our eyes when the devil through people want us to prove our power and authority to them. It might lead you to sin. Be sober and be led by the Spirit of God.

BEING FAITHFUL IN THE LITTLE THINGS

Luke 16:10

If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.

At every point in time, the Lord has entrusted into our hands certain things – it can be your spouse if you are married, children, talents, spiritual gifts, properties, money, even your own body etc.

In all these many things the Lord has entrusted into our care, He expects us to take good care of them.

How do you take good care of your body? How do you take good care of your spouse? How do you take good care of the property the Lord has given to you?

The Lord demands that we become faithful in the very little things He has entrusted into our care. May God help us and also remember that we are accountable to whatever He given to us.

Read Psalm 24. God bless you.

PUT TO DEATH – THE WAY FORWARD; A MUST READ; SERIES VII

At last he came to his senses and said, All my father’s hired workers have more than they can eat, and here I am to starved. I will get up and go to my father and say, Father, I have sinned against God and against you. … So he got up and started back to his father. Luke 15:17-18, 20

In bringing my series ‘Put to Death’ to an end, I will want to highlight on few points that will help all of us.

1.    Realise the situation, the habit, character and admit that it is not good. The young man came to his senses. He realised the situation and admitted it. He did not defend himself, using all forms of ideologies, human wisdom and worldly knowledge to buttress his action. He realised it.

2.   Take a decision. Make up your mind. Decide to deal with the issue. The young man decided to go back to his father. This is humility, coming to the point that you cannot help yourself but need an external support – the Holy Spirit.

3.   Confess and ask for forgiveness from those sins. The young man made confessions (I have sinned against my father and God and asked that his father and God should forgive him.

4.   Take the step and stop those behaviours. It is difficult but with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can put to death those behaviours. The young man stepped out from that foreign country back to his homeland.

5.   Dissociate yourself from friends who practice those behaviours. The young man stepped out from that country – broke friendship with the people in that city.

6.   Finally, engage in the spiritual exercisestudying the Bible, meditate on the Bible, fasting, praying and sharing the Word of God with others.
